Statkraft took over the run-of-river hydropower plant in Landesbergen from E.ON at the beginning of 2009. The plant which was commissioned in 1960 has a generating capacity of 7.2 MW.

The Landesbergen plant works with three Kaplan turbines. They use the movement of the water to generate energy. The water pressure puts the turbine wheels into operation, thereby powering a generator that generates electricity.
